Chris is a Senior Vice President, Wealth Advisor, and Certified Financial Planner at UBS, where he services high net worth families and closely-held businesses. He began his career as a futures trader in the “pits” of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and he worked there for 20 years before transitioning to private client financial services.
Chris is a long-time member of the Order of AHEPA (American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association), the largest and oldest Hellenic grassroots organization in the United States. AHEPA participation is an Atsaves family tradition, and Chris originally joined North Shore Chapter #94 in 1986 so he could play in the bowling league with his father and brothers. Since then, he has undertaken many leadership roles, to help in the organization’s promotion of education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, service, and athletics. Chris currently serves as the Supreme Athletic Director, District 13 Athletic Director (Illinois and Wisconsin), and North Shore #94 Vice President. As Supreme Athletic Director, Chris oversees all the athletic programs of AHEPA internationally, including the national golf tournaments and the National AHEPA Hall of Fame. As District 13 Athletic Director, Chris had chaired for many years the District 13 Sports Award Banquet, annually honoring over 100 high school athletes for their accomplishments on the field and providing scholarships to graduating seniors. Chris’ involvement goes beyond athletics, where most recently, Chris became the advisor for the newly-formed Chicago Chapter of the Sons of Pericles, which is the Junior Auxiliary of the Order of AHEPA.
Beyond his service to AHEPA, Chris is actively involved in many organizations in Chicago, including: Founding Member of the Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation, Board Member of the Greek Orthodox Athletic League, and Board Member of the Saint Iakovos Retreat Center. He also volunteers at the Greek American Nursing Home, AHEPA Bone Marrow Tournament, and NHIBT Basketball Tournament.
Chris is a steward of Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Glenview, Illinois, where he devotes his time and talents to several parish ministries. He previously acted as President and Treasurer of the Parish Council, and he continues serve as a board member. He is the Athletic Director for youth sports, serves on the Stewardship and Welcome Committees, sings in the Choir, and is the Chanter. In 2019, Chris received the Metropolitan Bronze Cross Servant Leader in recognition of his contributions to the community.
Chris and his wife, Tina, live in Glenview and have two daughters, Crystal and Paula.
