On behalf of Athena Farmakis, President of the Hellenic Bar Association Foundation, Officers & Directors, we would like to thank you for attending the 74th Annual Scholarship Gala. We are grateful to have celebrated our esteemed honorees and scholarship recipients with you during an evening which was not only inspiring, but filled with energy and camaraderie amongst our distinguished attendees. Our honorees: Alex Pissios, Hellene of the Year, Chris Chelios, Professional Achievement Honoree, Alexi Giannoulias, Public Service Honoree and Matina Kolokotronis, Lawyer of the Year truly exemplified how their determination, perseverance and commitment to the ideals of Hellenism paved their way to professional success and beyond.
The deserving Scholarship Recipients: Julia Canellis, John Travlos, Georgia Arvanitis, Vlasis Pappas, Vivian Kilias and Sophia Diamantakos were honored for their exceptional academic achievements and contributions to the Hellenic and Hellenic Bar Association communities. Thank You to our generous scholarship donors who made it possible to award each recipient with a $10,000.00 law school scholarship. We appreciate helping us to advance our mission of supporting legal education for deserving law students of Hellenic descent.
A special thank you to our record-breaking gala sponsors, silent and live auction donors, committee members, volunteers and event planners who allowed us to welcome our members, attorneys, members of the judiciary, friends and supporters in Red Carpet fashion! We thank you all for your contributions in supporting the Hellenic Bar Association and Hellenic Bar Association Foundation in furthering our mission to advance legal education and improve legal access for those in need in our community.
