King & Spalding recently announced that Tinos Diamantatos has joined the firm as a partner in its Business Litigation practice group. Diamantatos represents organizations and individuals in trial work, litigation, government and internal investigations, and securities enforcement proceedings, including white-collar crime, litigation related to government investigations, qui tam litigation, and complex civil litigation. He also regularly counsels clients on regulatory compliance issues. His experience spans multiple industries, including retail, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, medical devices, and financial services. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Prior to entering private practice, Diamantatos served as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois. During this time, he served as a first-chair trial lawyer, successfully handling high-profile cases and trials that received national and international media attention, including cases involving terrorism, racketeering, extortion, corruption, obstruction, and civil rights violations. He also successfully served as lead appellate counsel representing the government on nine appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Seventh Circuits. He served in several sections within the Chicago U.S. Attorney’s Office, including the Financial Crimes and Special Prosecutions Section, and the office’s Public Corruption and Organized Crime Section, where he completed his career as a prosecutor.

Diamantatos joins King & Spalding from Morgan Lewis, where he served as managing partner of the firm’s Chicago office and co-leader of the firm’s global White Collar Litigation & Government Investigations practice. He received his J.D. from John Marshall Law School, cum laude, and his B.S. from DePaul University.

“I am thrilled to be joining King & Spalding, its preeminent trial-ready litigation team, and its thriving Chicago office,” said Diamantatos. “The opportunity to expand the ways I can serve my clients on a platform as extensive and well-integrated as this one is very exciting, and I am ready to hit the ground running.”

Diamantatos is a member of the Hellenic Bar Association and was honored as the HBA’s Lawyer of the Year at the 75th Anniversary Scholarship Gala in November 2025.
